Methodology

The principles and processes behind everything published on Nightlydata.

Tool reviews

Reviews are based on dated public pricing snapshots, vendor documentation, and direct interviews with operators using the tool. When we have hands-on access we say so. When we don't, we say that too.

Regulation tracker

Each per-city entry cites the official source (municipal code, government press release, court ruling) with the publication date. Updates are triggered by the rule actually changing, not by a content calendar.

Data journalism

Methodology is published with each report: data source, sample size, time window, known limitations. Underlying data files are available on request.

Source hierarchy

Primary sources first (official documents, vendor pricing pages, direct interviews). Secondary sources (industry publications) flagged explicitly. Generic blog posts and aggregator content are not used as sources for factual claims.

This page is a v0.1 stub. Detailed methodology pages per content type will be added before launch.
